Sarah has significant experience of general commercial law (contracts, procurement, outsourcing and franchise) and she specialises in Intellectual Property and IT Law.  Her expertise extends to Data Protection and e-Commerce.

Sarah can lead commercial business contract drafting and negotiation, advise in relation to specialist ICT procurement, undertake contentious and non-contentious soft intellectual property work (copyright, designs, confidence and Trade Marks), conduct IP Portfolio management and undertake strategic reviews of commercial IP rights and uses by businesses as well as advise on Domain Name ownership and recovery, prepare on-line terms of business and privacy policies and advise on data protection compliance.

Examples of work include:

  • Facilities Outsourcing agreement for the distribution of magazines for the UK’s largest publishing company, commercial and legal negotiation and contract drafting
  • ICT Outsourcing contract for a professional body with multiple sites, all requiring different service levels
  • Public Body procurement (including assisting in drafting the Invitation to Tender, consideration of responses, contract drafting and round table negotiations) of a £6.4m business management software suite
  • Identification and management of the intellectual property portfolio of an international chain of hairdressers, liaising with trade mark agents worldwide
  • Corporate structure review and advice to a national Charity (and its subsidiary companies) to enable it to control, manage and exploit its intellectual property
  • Registration, objections, oppositions and co-existence agreements, licensing and assignments of Trade Marks
  • Drafting Joint Venture Agreement for the exploitation of a Design Right, the designer and civil engineer joining together to submit a bid for the 2012 Olympics Park
  • On-line terms for the UK start-up of the largest retail outlet in France.
    Pan-European outsourcing agreement for the supply and maintenance of Point of Sale Devices (credit and debit card readers).
